Ventura County Medical Center is a full-service acute care hospital with a 24-hour emergency department. Along with intensive care and definitive observation units, it also houses specialty care units such as medical/ surgical, telemetry and oncology, pediatric and neonatal. VCMC is also a Level II Trauma Center with 208 bed acute care hospital.  As a teaching hospital, affiliated with University of California, Los Angeles, it was recognized as the best family-medicine residency program in the United States in 2014.

In July of 2014, the Ventura County Medical Center took over hospital services in Santa Paula. Seaside Emergency Associates staffs all the doctors in the Emergency Room. We are looking forward to providing excellent medical care to those in need.

Hospital Replacement Wing Updates

Later in 2017, the VCMC Hospital Replacement Wing is set to open. We are excited about the significant upgrades coming to our emergency department in terms of imagining diagnostics, technical equipment, laboratory analysis and intentionally designed clinical spaces.
